hey @ORCID_Org the datacite integration of contributions is somehow malfunctioning. I (and also some other researchers) experience the problem that each contribution is integrated twice in the researcher profile.

@RonnyGey @ORCID_Org Are the entries Zenodo publications (or any other Invenio-based platform)? In that case it's probably two entries with two different DOIs; concept DOI and version DOI.

@zyzzyxdonta
🎯 you nailed it, David. Any chance to circumvent this behaviour?
@ORCID_Org

@RonnyGey @zyzzyxdonta @ORCID_Org no, this is the default Invenio behavior. It always generates you a DOI for the specific version of your publication and one that that will always point to the latest version. That also gives you the chance to reference both, a specific version to reproduce results or whatever is the current state of the publication.

@GuidoJuckeland @zyzzyxdonta @ORCID_Org @datacite I am fine with registering DOIs for versions, thats a useful feature. That was not my point. I see ORCID profiles all over that are spammed by 2 entries of the same publication which is caused by the "DataCite Search & Link and Auto-Update services"
