Hi, I've been around the Fediverse for some time now but never introduced myself.

I am a librarian from Cologne working on tools and projects around Linked Open Usable Data. I love the open, decentralized web and using/creating/maintaining free software. I also do some LIS teaching on IT topics.

I am tooting in English and in German but not frequently. I also toot for @lobid, @skohub and @swib.

Hadn't heard of LOD as LOUD. Been really interested in #LODLAM for a while. So, now, LOUDLAM? Sounds bold and assertive.

@enkerli Hmm, LOUDLAM. Haven't heard that combination before. It definitely makes sense... LOUD was originally coined by Rob Sanderson in 2016, in the context of IIIF and linked.art. See this slide with the original tweet and a link to a keynote: hbz.github.io/elag2019-bootcam

We adopted the term as it basically described our own approach.

@acka47 Thanks for the reference as well! Fully agreed that openness needs to be simple and useful.
In fact, I wish there were more UX research in the world of open, including #OpenData (and #OpenEducation).

@acka47 @enkerli My PhD is about Linked Open Usable Data (LOUD) - with a focus in the Humanities, I am now preparing a presentation about this and happy to drop a link once ready/available.

@julsraemy @enkerli That sounds great. Thanks! Please also consider a submission to . ;-)

@acka47 @enkerli it is in my agenda/mind. I don't have much to present (in terms of empirical data) for the moment but next year I should have something 🙂 I look forward to follow #swib22 as an attendee
