We updated the lobid-gnd API documentation on our OpenRefine reconciliation service, which can also be used directly in your own clients: lobid.org/gnd/api#openrefine (Thanks, Jakob, for the reminder, twitter.com/nichtich/status/11.)

We have improved our GND reconciliation service for OpenRefine by implementing the OpenRefine suggest API for searching types, properties, and entities blog.lobid.org/2019/08/19/open

Bitte ergänzt offenen Schnittstellen (DAIA, PAIA, SRU, OpenURL, Z39.50) eures Bibliotheksystems im Sigelverzeichnis. blog.lobid.org/2019/07/19/open

Making the three lobid services https everywhere with a 301 redirect and without announcing it beforehand wasn't a good idea. The change obviously broke several clients (sorry or that) and is now reverted. If your application was affected, it should now work again.

"A survey of OpenRefine reconciliation services" by @pintoch: arxiv.org/abs/1906.08092

With first considerations of a reconciliation API that lets clients do the global scoring in a flexible manner based on servers providing field-level scores. Also mentioning lobid-gnd reconciliation service. ;-)

The W3C "Entity Reconciliation Community Group" is picking up work. @fsteeg@twitter.com and @acka47 are participating from the lobid team. w3.org/community/reconciliatio

The reconciliation API for the GND authority file turned out to be quite successful in opening up the GND for usage beyond libraries, e.g. in archives or digital humanities. And it did not take too much work once the GND API was running...

Bauhaus Archiv used the OpenRefine reconciliation service for lobid-gnd (see blog.lobid.org/2018/08/27/open) to link persons from their internal system to GND.

We are happy to review and test what Felix Ostrowski (@literarymachine) is developing around SKohub. See the slides to his lightning talk at docs.google.com/presentation/d

In the bootcamp "From LOD to LOUD", participants already have started work on WorldCat 2.1.

The bootcamp "From LOD to LOUD: building and using JSON-LD APIs" has started at Stabil Berlin. Simon Bolivar is watching @fsteeg recapping the significance oft APIs to software development.

Dann sind wir mal gespannt, was @acka47 @dr0i und @fsteeg@twitter.com im Workshop "From LOD to LOUD:
building & using JSON-LD APIs" hbz.github.io/elag2019-bootcam so treiben... 😉

Last chance to sign up for next week in Berlin: elag2019.de/registration.html
There are still some places left in our bootcamp "From LOD to LOUD: building and using JSON-LD APIs".
