Funniest moment during public comment was when someone said:

“If you are so concerned about women being bought maybe you should look over at [Councilmember] Tonya woo”

Which Tanya Woo is such a clown car of corruption and backdoor dealing I don't even know where to start but she's definitely the most bought woman in Seattle 🫠

Hello from outside #RochesterNY

Where #MonroeCounty #DistrictAttorney, #SandraDoorley, just made an entitled #Karen ass of herself over a #trafficstop, and it's getting national and international press

So embarrassing

She needs to resign. #Rochester #citycouncil unanimously decided to look into her behavior:

It would be nice to make national news for good people

OMG! Life imitating Art. Check out what #NYC #CityCouncil member Chris Marte had to say about #TheChildrensMagicalGarden winning their adverse possession claim to the garden. Read it alongside the penultimate page of #MayahsLot-my environmental justice graphic novel! Both speaking about a community group defeating developers to reclaim an abandoned lot for a park. _The Evening Post_, 29 Jan 1924:
                  THE COUNCIL’S HOLIDAY
                STAFF PICNIC AT DAY’S BAY
With the weather at its very best, and the day's programme in the hands of a capable committee, the annual picnic of the City Council staff at Day’s Bay yesterday was most enjoyable. All told, about 650 adults and children took part, those present including officers from each department and Councillors Thompson, Aston, Chapman, Monteith, and Parton. Several ex-members of the staff were also present… [but] the Mayor (Mr. R. A. Wright) was unable to be present. Mr. J. G. MacKenzie was chairman of the Picnic Committee, Messrs. D. Scott and H. Tait acted as judges and starter, and Messrs. Short and Hunt looked after the youngsters’ sports events, “all prizes and no blanks” being the principle on which they carried out their duties. The results of the chief sports events were as follow:…

Tonight #Boulder #CityCouncil is discussing housing reform in the form of occupancy limits. City council meetings about housing policy are what first brought me to Twitter back in the day. I hope we can continue the tradition of side channel discussions about Boulder City Council meetings.

Thank you to everyone there speaking tonight!
