tore.tuhh.deKoha-Evaluation durch die Universitätsbibliothek der TUHHDie Universitätsbibliothek der TUHH ist Mitglied im Gemeinsamen Bibliotheksverbund (GBV). Für Ausleihe inkl. Selbstverbuchung, Erwerbung und Katalog wird das von der Verbundzentrale des GBV (VZG) unterstützte Lokale Bibliothekssystem LBS4 eingesetzt. Der Nutzer-Katalog des LBS4 wurde 2012 durch TUBfind, ein Discovery System auf vufind-Basis, abgelöst. Keine Softwarelösung gibt es bisher für die Verwaltung elektronischer Ressourcen mit Ausnahme des Linkresolvers SFX von Exlibris. Das LBS4 hat in den letzten 15 Jahren kaum funktionale Erweiterungen erfahren. Funktionen für die Verwaltung für Elektronische Ressourcen fehlen genauso wie Standardschnittstellen, z.B. zu LDAP-Directories. Mittelfristig muss das LBS4 im GBV und damit auch an der TUB durch ein anderes Bibliotheksmanagementsystem (BMS) abgelöst werden. Eine mögliche Alternative ist die Open Source Software Koha. Dies war für die TUB der Anlass, parallel zum breiter angelegten Kuali-Test der Verbundzentrale des GBV, Koha auf die Einsatzfähigkeit für eine mittelgroße deutsche Hochschulbibliothek zu testen. Grundlage des Tests war ein im Aufbau befindlicher Anforderungskatalog der VZG mit Fokus auf die notwendigen Funktionen der TUHH. In diesem Bericht werden unsere Projektergebnisse dargestellt, Vergleiche zum LBS4 gezogen und offene Fragen festgehalten.
