🔗 Persistent neurocognitive deficits in long COVID: Evidence of structural changes and network abnormalities following mild infection sciencedirect.com/science/arti

These findings indicate that even mild COVID-19 can result in persistent neurocognitive deficits, structural brain alterations, and functional network abnormalities, both in individuals with and without brain fog.

Seeking advice from other people who know & act like #CovidIsNotOver, still #MaskUp , understand the value of mass masking, & advocate for masks-required events:

There are 2 types of responses I get a LOT from ppl saying they can't mask/ shouldn't be required to mask.

1. It makes it harder for people to hear & impossible for people to lip-read what a mask-wearer is saying.

2. Masks are uncomfortable to wear & cause the wearer sensory stress (various exact phrasings - this is the jist).

Goldene Zeiten. 🤡

In a waiting room at the local hospital yesterday (I'm fine) and yup, the only masked person... 🙄

Just me...

...out of 18 other waiting people and the 2 or 3 reception/admins...

The actual practitioners doing the procedure were masked of course and also very helpful regarding me keeping my mask on.... but... #MaskUp

I started to write "I realize this only affects a handful of you..." Then I stopped myself because it really affects *EVERYONE*!

I realize only a handful of you actually #MaskUP and care about this...

But this is pretty unsettling.

"NIOSH certification of #N95 masks will shut down in June if Trump admin actions are not reversed at HHS."

#Flu and #RSV seasons seem to be basically over in #NYC, and the current #COVID wave is abating! COVID death rates will hopefully be lower next month.

I'm switching to monitoring case and wastewater increases now, hoping if we have a summer #COVID19 wave it'll be small and short!

#COVIDIsNotOver as long as people are dying and going to the hospital for this disease, so I'll continue to #WearAMask in elevators, trains and buses. #MaskUp in doctors' offices, pharmacies and supermarkets!

Driving with a case of COVID raised the odds of having a car crash about as much as being at the legal threshold of DUI or running a red light, according to an analysis of pandemic-era public health and transportation records from seven states.
