Éric🇧🇪🥾🚆🚊🌼🐑🐞📷<p>🇬🇧 🇺🇸 ⬇️ </p><p>🇫🇷 </p><p>Il y a 10 ans</p><p>Le 30 juillet 2014, je visitais la petite ville de Prüm nichée dans l'Eifel pas très loin des frontières belge et luxembourgeoises... </p><p>Sa particularité? Son église abbatiale et son ancienne abbaye rose bonbon et le Kalvarienberg, tristement célèbre par la catastrophe du 15 juillet 1949. Un incendie se déclare dans un ancien dépôt de munitions de la seconde guerre mondiale et s'ensuit une explosion énorme qui détruit de grandes parties de la petite ville (déjà durement touchée par les faits de la guerre)... 12 personnes perdirent la vie, 15 furent blessées et près de mille personnes perdirent leur maison dans la catastrophe.</p><p>Ce fût l'occasion d'une petite balade qui me mena à cette montagne du calvaire comme on pourrait traduire Kalvarienberg. The landmark of the city is the pink abbey church and old monastery. Another landmark is the Kalvarienberg (Calvary Hill) which was the theater of a disaster on July, 15 1949. A fire in the former munitions depot on the Kalvarienberg caused a big explosion that destroyed wide parts of the city (which was already almost destroyed in World War II). There was a chapel on the top of the hill which was the end station of a stations of the Cross-way from the city.
