I recently saw someone here who wrote a #snake game in basic for the #c64, but unfortunately I can't find the toot anymore. Thought I could try that in Amstrad CPC locomotive basic too. Doesn't run very performant, but it was fun. but I haven't programmed Basic for at least 25 years.

I think I fell victim to this very simple #BASIC #game that I found on the #internetarchive - it's called #Chase but it's also known as #Robots and you can find it here:

Nearly four decades ago #BillG promised Andre Warufsel and me to send us the source code of his #Basic4K for the #MITS #Altair. He never did and @ModernDayNTK described one of my repeted reminders as 'winning last week's Stalking Bill Gates challenge'.
Three days ago he did eventually publish a scan of the source code on his blog.

Pour fêter le 50ème anniversaire de la fondation de Microsoft (4/4/1975 Micro-Soft à l'époque) avec son (défunt) ami Paul Allen, Bill Gates rend public le code source de son BASIC pour Altair, le logiciel à la base de la société.
Il existait des listings désassemblés mais ici l'original en assembleur Intel 8080 avec les commentaires (scan PDF pour le moment)

Curiosa publicación cuando menos. Había maneras de diseñar G.D.U., pero usando plantillas como éstas pues me parece una forma “facilona” de generarlos en el ZX Spectrum. Aun así, está bien pensado como un método de aprendizaje.
