Growing up, I cried over The Grapes of Wrath and watched films about the Holocaust, stories of suffering that shaped my view of the world. But the tragedy that scarred almost every Ukrainian family, the Holodomor, was barely acknowledged.
I’m grateful that today more voices are trying to tell our story.
An upcoming play, Sickle (May 1–10, Minneapolis), created by an American playwright, turns to the devastation of Ukrainian village life, a tragedy that destroyed millions of lives.
I haven’t seen the play yet, but I hope it does justice to the weight of the story.

Hello #TwinCities #Queer friends & Allies. I'm looking for a room in the Twin Cities. Plan to split my time between there & back home with my spouse in Douglas county.

I am a middle-age trans woman. I need a place where I can get out of the house more without the level of concern I have for my safety in the rural community I currently live in.

Ideally I want a room someone was looking to make a little extra money by renting out. This is temporary housing for an indefinite period. I don't need access to a kitchen or common room. I would work in my room 8 to 5 on weekdays, & make myself scarce the rest of the time. I need high speed internet, a bathroom, & a place to plug in a coffee pot.

I would definitely prefer a place in a walkable area with nearby restaurants & shops. A bed & a small table or desk would be great, as would laundry on site or nearby, but I can sort those things myself if necessary.

I would love to find a place before the month is out.
