It's pretty bittersweet how some white saviour women think they know better than the peoples in Indigenous marginalized communities that they lack lived & working experiences with, on rez & are supposed to be serving. It's foolish to ever think you'll get 100% community support on any native rez - never happened in all the years band councils were ever established. You can't be arrogant enough to think you know better than everyone else. You can't ever think you're irreplaceable too - all of us are replaceable in work arenas. You can't put your ego above bigger community needs. To do so is to put yourself & your inflated ego, over everyone else - that blocks genuine, purposeful & essential collaborative work. You choose to put greater good over your own inflated ego. That is part of true maturity.

@Sustainable2050 Ostseezeitung: Entry refused, they will be deported. When they heard this, they both burst into tears. "It was a shock, we didn't expect it," says Maria Lepère. "We had already heard a bit about what was going on in the #USA. But at the time, we didn't think it would happen to #Germans. That was perhaps very naive. We felt so small and powerless." #whiteprivilege

Variety · John Boyega: 'Star Wars' Is So White and Fans Reject Black HeroesBy Zack Sharf

in my opinion, there are 2 key takeaways from 'white fragility' by robin diangelo:

1. racism is not an ‘either / or’ binary but rather a continuum &
2. the challenge is to accept and grapple with this truth.

in 'what white people can do next', emma dabiri unveils race as a social construct—something invented rather than something that has always existed.

i loved her voice throughout the narrative. it isn't just strong or matter-of-fact. it's fierce, it's frustrated, it's hopeful, it's kind. it is all of these things, and it is entirely one of a kind.

@ErickaSimone
Laffy used her #WhitePrivilege to bravely flee to Canada and now, rather than concentrate on fixing her new country's own substantial failings, continues to trade on spamming #USPolitics, including and especially bashing Dems.
White people are responsible for this mess, but they won't TAKE responsability.
It's a mutual block, but she keeps popping up with new accounts to keep her clout so I'm constantly playing whack a mole with her posts.

Watching 'HOME ALONE' again and realizing how privileged these people are. They see a strange man in a cop uniform and just lay out their whole security set-up and tell him they're leaving the country for a week. Like, what the fuck?

I'd be like, 'HEY WHO LET YOU IN HERE WITHOUT A WARRANT? OUT! OUT! ON THE PORCH NOW. WHAT? YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT? NAH, TAKE THAT NOISE SOMEWHERE ELSE.' 😅

"Conservative voices from LibsOfTikTok to Bill O’Reilly lined up to blame the entire response on the #violentleft (even though the positive sentiment has come from every corner of the political spectrum and #LuigiMangione has classically American indecipherable politics). There were 3 separate The Root articles blaming the whole situation on #whiteprivilege. Jokesters were implored to think of his children, of his wife, of his beloved colleagues at the Ministry of Evil."
