Pre-Production of Poi for the next Festival!
The fabric used for the pouch of the poi was sorted out from an interior designer. We filled them with chopped bycicle tubes. The fabric for the strips is bought at a store for leftover textiles. The leather used for the loops belonged to a sofa in the past. Only the rings and the rope are ordered extra.

It's really tricky to spread the word about events these days! I don't support corporate social media and you don't get read attention there anyway, mailing lists aren't what they once were, and this event wants to reach people across many patterny disciplines..

Algorithmic Pattern is a new festival and conference for people curious about the practice and culture of algorithmic pattern-making, across algorithmic music, arts and craft. The first edition will take place both in Sheffield UK and online, during September 2025.

Wow, I remember Sean from the early 1990s, we were both part of the juggling and alternative circus scene. He was one of the leading lights back then in the UK. I helped organise a juggling convention in Coventry around 1992/3 and we were both part of a cabaret performance gala. Good to see him still going strong, he was a lovely guy.
