This is not an advert, and I have never used these phones, but reading this reminded me how poor smartphones' support is. Life expectancy is usually based on a soldered battery which lasts around 3 years really, and above all, security patch updates too. A totally unsustainable economy on the long run..

A discount phone service user (aka TracPhone, Page Plus, etc.) with an older (physical SIM card) phone... How to maintain a working phone (don't need to keep US number) when slipping across the border for a few days?
