A lot of people are surprised to learn I'm completely self taught in my #Photography. One of my greatest instructors was, and still is #Waterfalls. They have such variety in a single location that allows you to practice multiple key components of photography - metering, shutter speeds, the importance of leading lines etc.

This image is one of the first waterfalls I took, way back in 2019!

A large waterfall flows off the edge of a ledge into a deep canyon wedge. Defined light beams shine down from the top left cutting through the waterfalls most and haze. The waterfall is on a slanted granite bed giving it large rapids throughout the top of the falls before the cliff. The forest in the background is obscured by the heavy mist of the falls as well.

I have to dump some of my #Ilsetal photos I took in early March. Thank god it's #WaterfallWednesday. 🤭

Yes, it's not Niagara Falls, but the #IlseFälle #cascade is very pretty to look at and you can #hike along the #Ilse river as it #cascades down 120 metres. Looks like a fairytale #forest – if you ignore all the hikers that flock to this place (just like we did 🤡)
