The circumstances the government has left marginalized people in is shameful. My entire disability benefit doesn't even cover my rent. I have survived this long because of the dregs of my middle class privilege. My long term survival depends on substantial policy change.

We've seen "trickle down" economics fail everybody.

Let's try "lift up" economics instead. 💪🧡

When we take care of the most vulnerable, we make things safer for everyone.

@SonofaGeorge @ZenHeathen @CStamp @northernlights @pinhman @gemelliz Some countries sort not by name but according to the parties' results at the most recent election, followed by new parties in order of registration. If a newbie gets the signatures from citizens earlier, they rank higher on the #ballot.

Then, parties can (and do) advertise: like "Vote list 7", so electors now to look for the 7th option on the ballot. That really helps the vision impaired or illiterate when they #vote

A federal judge in DC has paused a key section of #Trump's #ExecutiveOrder that makes sweeping changes to #voting & #elections.

Critics of Trump's #EO say it could disenfranchise millions of would-be #voters, & exceeds his authority.

The EO instructs the independent Election Assistance Commission (#EAC) to change the mail #VoterRegistration form to require that applicants show a document proving US #citizenship before they can be registered to #vote.

The Guardian profiles five families who have joined America’s swelling class of internal refugees.

They’re being propelled by hostile political forces bearing down on them because of who they are, what they believe, or for their medical needs.

So... Canada... We need to talk...

As someone who works for Meta, I have a good insight on what is really popular and what is not. I am seeing the same things I saw here, before Donald Trump won.

Vote. You do not want to make our same mistake. I know, many of you dislike your choices, period. It seems to be a trend, world-wide, where the people who actually want power, are not necessarily the type of people, the masses want. I do not have a solution for that, because it seems anywhere someone good comes along, few people know about it because they are oppressed by the media.

Going to the polls when you do not like anyone, will be painful, it will be annoying, and frustrating, and I know you may not be motivated, but trust me, you do not want a Donald Trump clone.

@Daojoan The binary & realistic choice in a Two-party system to #vote in this #Election in the #USA...

Where as:
The #Bolivarian Revolution that led #HugoChavez in #Venezuela victory,

The election of #SalvadorAllende in #Chile

The election/re-installation of #EvoMorales & #MAS Party back in #Bolivia after the failed #Coup

The #FrenteAmplio (Popular Front) in #Uruguay

The #Sandinistas in #Nicaragua, etc.

They were unbinary & unrealistic, yet have accomplish grand goals that this system!
